Darrin Kirby was born and raised in the Grassland area of Franklin, Tennessee. He has a passion for serving his community delicious, attainable food for over 30 years. He opened the Grassland Grill in 1992 and was loved for providing a casual community restaurant for families to enjoy. After selling the restaurant in 2004 to focus on his growing family, he pivoted into catering and special events. During the 2020 pandemic, Darrin saw a chance to serve Franklin in a new capacity: a food trailer. Darrin understands the relationships that are formed around tables, with families and friends.
